What communication style will you employ (Tell/Sell or Consult/Join), and why?

The primary communication approach will be that of consult/join style that would involve the incorporation of other employees including the subordinates in the decision-making process. The primary advantage of this approach is that it creates a sense of attachment and belonging among the employees towards the organization, which increases their productivity (Draganovic, 2017). This technique would ensure the creation of an independent workforce where the manager would only provide and set the necessary parameters and leave the subordinates to advance the subsequent processes involving implementation. This technique is desirable because it promotes the creation of a democratic leadership style in the organization. It recognizes that the employees are a crucial component of the production process because they comprise the basic units running the systems. It, therefore, ensures that the organization recognizes the value and potential of the employees in promoting the management processes of the organization.

The use of consult/join style would provide adequate distribution of information throughout the organization, which would enhance the abilities of workers to promote the realization of institutional objectives by aligning their activities and actions with the organizational policy. The use of consult/join style would benefit the organization, mainly in the implementation stages because all workers would be informed regarding the expectations and processes required to facilitate efficient execution of tasks. This aspect would ensure that the workers can correct silly mistakes and errors before they can harm the system and production processes (Draganovic, 2017). This style is also cost and time efficient because it eliminates the need for constant supervision and monitoring because it would ensure that all the workers are attuned to the procedures and expectations, which would provide the creation of a productive and autonomous workforce.
